Event Starts: Jun 20, 2015, 11:30 am
Event Location: Krogh's Restaurant & Brew Pub
Eat Drink Local Restaurant Week, an annual event celebrating the bounty of New Jersey farmers and the creative culinary skills of dozens of our state's most talented chefs, will be held June 20 to 27 at more than 50 restaurants statewide.
Krogh's Restaurant & Brew Pub is happy to be among the restaurants taking part in Eat Drink Local Week! Krogh's receives fresh, organic produce from Flatbrook Farm, a family-owned farm in Sandyston that uses sustainable methods to nourish people and the environment. The produce Flatbrook Farm delivers to Krogh's offers guests unsurpassed, superior taste and substantial nutritional value. For this weekend, we have fresh, organic kale used in a White Bean and Kale Soup and also braised as a side for our weekend dinner specials!
Krogh's was Sussex County's first brew pub and for 16 years, they've been offering six flagship handcrafts: Three Sisters Golden Wheat, Krogh's Gold, Alpine Glow Red Ale, Brogden Meadow Pale Ale, Krogh Hop IPA and an Old Krogh Oatmeal Stout. There are also rotating Seasonal beers and Cask-Conditioned ales, which are ales served without the addition of CO2 and without pasteurization, leaving a soft, fresh, "living beer." Made on premise, Krogh's beers are fresh and use local ingredients when possible. For example, in the Fall Krogh's taps a seasonal pumpkin ale made with 120 pounds of locally-sourced pumpkins!
In conjunction with the weeklong event, diners who visit participating restaurants during EDLW - and post photos of their favorite dish on either Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag ?#?eatdrinklocalnj? - will be eligible to win a $150 gift card to any participating restaurants. A total of three gift cards will be awarded and details of the photo competition can be found on Edible Jersey's Facebook page.
